The Priory Golfing SocietyThursday 21 June - Hindhead
35 Members and Guests played this renowned course after a Priory absence of seven years, a return by popular request.
It is fair to say that the vast majority found the conditions somewhat challenging. All reported the course well presented with fast running greens but difficult when off the fairway. However, congratulations go to Gerald Bullock with the best return, a fine score of 33 points. The runner-up on 30 points was Richard Burgess on countback from Bill Boniface.
The team winners were Brian Mitchinson, Andy Hall and Jonathan Britton.
Finally our grateful thanks go to John Shrewsbury for his attention to detail in not only organizing the prizes but also providing a short potted history of Hindhead golf Club.
